section 1 - research question

The main question is whether developing wind energy will help us in the future? Like in costs and efficiency; do we need more wind farms or less? Also how can we reduce the costs and produce enough energy? And I asked these questions because wind energy is clean and renewable energy; also there are a lot of countries that do not have fossil fuels or oil to produce energy and they need an alternative solution.

section 2 - background report summary

We can increase the efficiency by design, and the best design would be suitable for the location it would be placed in and how it's installed, for aerodynamic efficiency also use   material that is durable and reliable and lighter rotor blades; also twist and sweep and place them at a certain height.

Moreover we can reduce the costs by developing the technology used, and there is a technology called circulation control, this aerodynamic could allow wind turbines to produce significantly more power than current devices at the same wind speed. the goal will be to make the generation of electricity from wind turbines by eliminating the need for complex blades.

In addition, we can generate by installing small wind turbines over houses, and we need  three parts: a generator and blades with a small tower. Also, we should take into consideration how much wind is flowing per day and obtain permission for these things from government.

part 3 - survey results

In question one, out of 16 participants 14 of them know that wind energy is a source of power and it's green; also that depends on air flow and in addition that its renewable, and two just didn't know while only a  few people knew how wind energy is generated.
Most of the answers of question 2 say that wind energy is not cost effective while only a few believe that wind energy production is enough. For question 3 14 out of 16 which make 87.5% of participants say that we need more wind farms and 2 out of 16 which are 12.5% say that we don't need.In question 4, 81.25% of answers point out that wind energy is clean and 18.75% were not sure and said no. Next question 5 15 out of 16 agree that we need to develop wind energy which is the majority of participants. Also in question 6 is the opposite of question 5 were most of them said that wind energy production is not enough. In question 7 everybody knows that the advantages are more than the disadvantages. For question 8, 11 out of 16, 68.75% want to build small wind turbines over their home, and 31.25% don't want. For question 9, 15 out of 16 agree that countries do not have fossil fuels should depend on wind energy and only one refused. In question 10 most of the answers believe that within future developments wind energy will be efficient. About question 11, people said we need to change materials and do more research to reduce the cost of wind towers. Finally for question 12 people do not have more comments about this topic.

part 4 - result discussion

Since wind energy is not a brand new solution, most of the participants knew how wind energy is working and its effects. While the production of the wind in not enough, all answers in the survey point that we need more wind farms, because all of them said energy from the wind is not enough. Also, most of them wanted to develop and reduce the costs of wind energy because it will increase the rate, and it would be a great solution for the future. All answers of the survey matched my justification.
